Privacy policy

Leaders School ("the school", "we") provides the Leaders School app ("the app") so that parents and guardians can follow their child's school life. This policy explains what information the app shows, why, who can see it and how it is protected. HMGenX builds and maintains the app for the school and handles information only on the school's instructions.

Information in the app

  • Student details provided by the school: name, admission number, class and section, roll number, date of birth and photograph where the school has added one.
  • Parent and guardian details: name, mobile number, email address if provided, and relationship to the student.
  • School records: attendance, homework, timetable, examination marks and results, notices, events and registrations, and photos the school shares.
  • Fee records: fee dues, and the payments the school office records (amount, date, how it was paid and any reference number) with their receipts. There is no online payment in the app, and the app never asks for card or bank details.
  • Login information: your mobile number, login times and, if you allow notifications, a notification token for your phone. Parents login with their mobile number and their child's date of birth; there is no parent password.

Why we use it

  • To show you your child's school information.
  • To send notifications about homework, attendance, results, notices, events and fees. You can turn push notifications off for each category in the app.
  • To keep your account secure and to run the school's administration.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not show ads, and we never sell your information.

Who can see it

  • You can see only the children the school has linked to your account.
  • Authorised school staff can see the records their role requires. Teachers see only the classes they teach.
  • Service providers that host the app for the school process information only to run the service.

We share information outside the school only when the law requires it.

How it is protected

  • Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
  • Staff passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never visible to anyone.
  • Access is limited by role, documents and photos are kept in private storage, and important changes are recorded in an audit log.

How long we keep it

The school keeps student records for as long as it needs them for academic, administrative and legal purposes. When a student leaves, the related parent accounts are deactivated according to the school's policy.

Your choices

  • Ask the school office to correct any details that are wrong.
  • Ask the school office to deactivate or delete your app account. Some records, such as attendance, fee receipts and academic results, may need to be kept by the school.
  • Choose which notifications you receive in the app's settings.

Children's information

Student information is entered and managed by the school. The app is meant for parents and guardians; accounts are created only by the school office.

This website

This website sets no cookies and has no login. When you download the app here, we count the download using only the app version, the time and a one-way code made from your connection and browser that changes every day. We do not store your IP address, and the count cannot be used to identify you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
